What is the stamping? | Stamping is a forming process that uses a press and dies to apply external force to plates, strips, tubes and profiles, causing them to undergo plastic deformation or separation, thereby obtaining workpieces (stamping parts) of the required shape and size. |
Commonly Used Materials in precise stamping products | Cold-rolled steel sheets (SPCC) , hot-rolled steel sheets (SPHC) and galvanized steel sheets (such as SPGC), Aluminium and aluminium alloys (such as 1060, 6061, 5052) and copper and copper alloys (such as phosphor bronze, beryllium copper, brass), Stainless steel(such as SUS304, SUS301 and other grades) |
Advantages of precise stamping products | High productivity and automation High precision and quality stability Material utilization rate and economy Complex shape processing capability Lightweight and structural advantages |
Available Surface Treatment | painting, powder coating, galvanizing, electroplating, anodizing(aluminium), chemical oxidation, brushed, sandblasting, polishing, Electrophoresis(E-coating) |
Accuracy of Steel Stamping Parts | The precision of stamping products is usually expressed in terms of dimensional tolerance grade (such as IT grade) or specific tolerance value (such as ±0.01mm). High-precision applications require comprehensive control: In fields such as precision electronic components and aerospace, the precision requirement can be within ±0.01mm. For instance, the flatness error of the reference surface of a precision stamping die needs to be controlled within 0.003mm/m, and the repeat positioning accuracy of a stamping robot can be stably maintained within ±0.02mm. |
General material thickness that can be processed for stamping products | Under normal circumstances, the thickness range of materials for stamping processing is between 0.1 mm and 10 mm , among which 0.4 mm to 2 mm is a common application range, suitable for most metal sheets such as cold-rolled sheets, galvanized sheets and stainless steel. Thin plate stamping (with a thickness of 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm ) is often used in lightweight manufacturing of automotive parts, etc., while thicknesses of 10 mm or more usually require custom molds and dedicated equipment. |
